Engineering

The field of engineering is an important area of advanced industrial insulation systems, especially for the Oil&Gas and the petrochemical industry. The engineering process is following a project throughout it phases from FEED, Detail Engineering, Construction and Completion. The focus on insulation engineering throughout these phases saves valuable time and money in the project execution, by finding the cost optimal solutions considering not only the material cost but also other factors such as weight, space requirements, installation time and quality, and the life cycle cost of the system

The engineered function designs and specify insulation solution meeting the design specification and company guidelines in an optimal way. Working out the project insulation procedures and descriptions, creating the required documentation allowing for secure and correct implementation. Designing the required thickness of passive fire protecting material is an essential part in protecting the integrity of the process plant and equipment.

During project implementation the engineering function establishes work packages for all insulation work and measurement of boxes on site. This is of vital importance to get the insulation work done according to plan during the construction phase. The work packages will normally be established with a basis in the commissioning packages or the test packages.
